
The Vice Mayor of Nyamagabe District in charge of Social Affairs, Agnès Uwamariya, led a community outreach campaign aimed at preventing and combating GBV and human trafficking in Gasaka Sector.
The campaign brought together motorcycle and bicycle taxi operators, along with other groups working within Nyamagabe town, to mark the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, which started on November 25, 2025.
The activities started with a march from the town center to the District Garden, where discussions and community dialogues continued.
The Vice-Mayor of Kigali City, Agnès Uwamariya, urged participants to report any suspected cases of violence or human trafficking, saying the people in their sector who get in contact with many people every day play an important role in tracking and stopping these crimes.
She reminded them that timely information can save lives and protect vulnerable individuals from abuse and exploitation.
