TI-Rwanda holds election for new Chairperson and board members

During the General Assembly of Transparency International Rwanda (TI-Rwanda), which took place on Sunday, 15th February 2026, Eng. Apollinaire Sayinzoga Nkongoli was elected as the new Chairperson of the Board of Directors, replacing the late Ingabire Marie Immaculée.

Maître Jeanne D’Arc Mukakalisa was elected as the First Vice Chairperson, while Placide Mukwende and Ignace Iyakaremye were elected as Board Members. Since 2021, Eng. Sayinzoga has been the First Vice Chairperson, while Mukakalisa was a Board Member.

The TI-Rwanda Board of Directors has a total of nine members. The Executive Bureau is made up of the Chairperson, First Vice Chairperson, Second Vice Chairperson, and the Secretary of the Board.

The Executive Director of TI-Rwanda warmly congratulated the newly elected leadership and expressed confidence in their ability to contribute to the fight against corruption, as well as to enhance transparency and accountability in Rwanda.
