Moscow, Russia – The World Peoples Assembly is set to host its inaugural World Public Assembly on September 20–21, 2025, at the Moscow World Trade Centre, under the banner “New World of Conscious Unity.” The international humanitarian forum will bring together more than 2,000 participants from over 140 countries, including representatives from 32 African nations.
Scheduled to coincide with the International Day of Peace, the event is being described as a unique platform for dialogue on shaping a more just, peaceful, and sustainable future.
Participants will include a diverse mix of public diplomats, civil society leaders, youth representatives, diplomats, academics, scientists, cultural experts, cosmonauts, and global media professionals. Delegates from international and regional organizations such as the United Nations (UN), UNESCO, BRICS, SCO, ASEAN, CIS, and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) are also expected to attend.
The Assembly’s main theme, “New World of Conscious Unity,” will guide discussions across seven panel sessions and more than 40 thematic platforms. These discussions will explore global partnerships, human-centered development, value-based leadership, cultural and spiritual common ground, and the role of shared responsibility in building a better future. To ensure diverse representation, organizers confirmed that at least one African speaker will participate in each discussion panel, underscoring the Assembly’s commitment to global inclusion.
One of the central highlights of the two-day forum will be the “For Service to Humanity” Public Recognition Award, presented on September 21. This award honors individuals or institutions that have made exceptional contributions to international peacebuilding, humanitarian cooperation, and the promotion of shared human values.
In support of the Assembly’s goals, a new funding initiative titled the “Trust and Unity” Grant Contest has also been launched. Open to global applicants, the grant seeks to support innovative projects in public diplomacy and international humanitarian cooperation. Interested applicants must submit proposals by July 30, 2025, via the Assembly’s official website.
Founded in 2017 as the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly, the organization expanded its scope in 2024 to include African partners and was renamed the Eurasian and African Peoples’ Assembly. In May 2025, it officially rebranded as the World Peoples Assembly, reflecting its broader international mandate to foster unity and shared responsibility for humanity’s future.
The forum comes at a time when global cooperation is more critical than ever, with organizers hoping the event will help “shape a new architecture of global partnership based on mutual respect, cultural values, and responsibility.”
